The silhouette here, when printed on broadsheet, is the actual size and shape of an exit would from a semi-automatic rifle bullet. This is a common injury for those holding the gun with the muzzle pointed downward upon accidental firing; the bullet enters one side of the lower leg, wreaks absolute internal havoc, then exits with maximum damage. The goal with this image is so readers could compare this image to their own bodies and imagine their chance of survival in a mass shooting incident.
